Many left-wing organizations will mobilize on Saturday, May 10, in Paris, in opposition to the neo-fascist parade planned for the same day in the capital.

"We will not bow our heads!" proclaim the organizers of the "anti-fascist village" that will be set up this Saturday, May 10th, at the Place du Panthéon in Paris (5th arrondissement). For the second consecutive year, at the call of the Parisian branches of the Solidaires and CGT unions, a collective of left-wing associations and organizations is meeting in front of the great republican temple in response to the show of force organized the same day by French neo-fascists just a kilometer away, in the Port-Royal district. Although it took place without incident last year, the event was initially banned this year by the police headquarters, before being reinstated by the administrative courts this Friday.

The location chosen for the gathering is symbolic, the Pantheon housing illustrious figures of the Resistance, from Jean Moulin to Germaine Tillion, including Joséphine Baker, Missak and Mélinée Manouchian , the most recent to be inducted into the Pantheon.
